Primary Football Update

3rd December 2018

3rd December 2018 – following on from a successful visit to Aston Villa last time, Northern House Primary Team wanted to capitalise on being top of the league and make our lead even greater. But despite hard efforts from all and a few players missing from the team Northern House Primary team took part in 4 tough matches; 2 losses, 2 draws.

Game 1: N House 0 Timberley 1

Colby started with some great attacking play from the first whistle with some excellent passing and moving. Pupil G hit the post and bar with good efforts from up close and the Timberley goal keeper making some great saves from Harley and Kemar. They played well and passed the ball better than N House, resulting in an unstoppable goal in the top left corner. Ethan, as always making great saves to keep the score down for our first game, loosing 1-0.

Game 2: N House 1 Springfield 2

After conceding two quick goals at the start of the game, pupils from Northern House Primary Team enjoyed playing in this game and really played well to only loose by 1 goal. Springfield definitely turned up to play against us and kept possession for the majority of the game. Pupil  G scoring in this match with a great cross in from Pupil S. A disappointing result, but a fair one over all.

Game 3: N House 2 Skillts 2

After a poor start to our visit today, Northern House Primary Team started this game in excellent fashion. Colby and Pupil G scoring a goal each to put us 2 – 0 up within 5 minutes. Pupils played well with lots of passing and shooting, we should have really scored a few more, but Skillts introduced a few new players who were key to getting a even result at the final whistle!

Game 4: N House 6 Langley 0

N House took a great start to this game with Colby (3) and Pupil G (2) scoring one goal after another. Pupil S, Harley and Kemar playing some excellent football and showed the other teams this is how we normally play. Ethan still had to make some excellent saves, with one cleared off the line. End Result Northern House Primary Team 6, Langley 0

We look forward to our next visit on the 14th January 2019, and hope the new year brings us good fortune and allows us to reclaim our position as the top team of the Premier SEN League.
